Buy a TECO Motor and VSD together for up to 36 months extended warranty*
The TECO E710 is a Next Generation Compact Vector Drive (VSD) designed for controlling AC induction, permanent magnet, and synchronous reluctance motors (on request) across a wide range of industrial applications.
Available in single-phase (0.37kW–2.2kW) and three-phase (0.75kW–7.5kW) configurations, the TECO E710 is rated for heavy-duty continuous operation with 150% overload capacity and 150% starting torque at 0.5Hz in Sensorless Vector mode.
Its dual-CPU architecture reduces enclosure depth by 50% compared to the previous TECO compact range, allowing for side-by-side installation with no thermal gap required.
Built-in Safe Torque Off (STO), certified to SIL2/PLd, is included as standard on S-type models, eliminating the need for external safety hardware. Integrated predictive diagnosis for drive component life monitoring is also included, helping simplify maintenance and improve system reliability.
Optional fieldbus cards support Profibus DP, Profinet, TCP/IP, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, BACnet, OPC UA and other communication protocols for integration into industrial automation and building management systems.
DriveLink PC software and an optional Bluetooth operator panel support commissioning, parameter logging, and remote monitoring from initial installation through ongoing operation.
The TECO E710 includes integrated STO certified to EN ISO 13849-1 Category/PLd, EN 61508 SIL2, and EN 62061 SIL CL2. STO disables drive output without removing control power, allowing the drive to recover immediately once the safety input is cleared, with no re-homing or restart sequence required. (Available in specific models)
Machine builders and panel builders targeting SIL2 compliance can connect safety devices directly to the E710’s F1/F2 terminals. For most SIL2 machine safety applications, external safety contactors are not required, reducing contactor hardware, panel wiring, and ongoing proof testing requirements. The TECO E710 Variable Speed Drive continuously monitors two critical internal components from power-on: the cooling fan and the DC-bus electrolytic capacitors. As these components are among the most common causes of unplanned drive failure over time, the drive generates an advisory warning before either component reaches the end of its service life.
Because warnings are generated while the drive remains fully operational, maintenance can be planned proactively rather than performed reactively following an unexpected failure.
This functionality is particularly valuable for sites where unplanned downtime incurs high operational costs, including pump stations, remote water treatment facilities, continuous production lines, and HVAC plant rooms, where drive failure could interrupt critical processes and require emergency maintenance attendance.
